These charming carriers of the River Kennet are tucked away in the most delightful countryside setting. They are easy to cast across but require good stalking techniques, light tackle and line presentation skills. If you like to wander, if you like to hunt, if you enjoy getting lost in your fishing, then beyond all doubt you will thoroughly enjoy your day at Denford.
The Kennet Carriers have recently undergone significant changes with bank regeneration and management around the fishery. The bank fringes have been allowed to grow providing shade and protection for the fish with a breeding ground for insect life and superb stalking areas for the fisherman. The pathways are mowed and there are seats on offer to have a break whilst fishing. New stocking policies and river keeping have improved the quality of the fishing on offer. You won’t find the large stocked Trout that are in the Test but you will find fish in a natural environment and enough of them to keep you challenged.
