Maldives holiday with the family – Client feedback

Back home after a great holiday…thank you for organising and all the tips on the fishing.

The fishing was great and although I was only going out for 1-2hrs each day I still caught a lot of fish. I had a lot of bluefins (up to about 2-3lbs), a few other species but soon just concentrated on triggers and blind casting in the surf for bigger stuff. (Didn’t see bonefish or any permit). I had a few shots at the triggers but only hooked one and I didn’t land it…good fun though and tricky in such skinny water as they are very spooky.

I really enjoyed fishing in the surf and had some really exciting sessions, saw some really big GTs, bluefin and a large black tip shark all patrolling the water in front of the coral line. I had a lot of follows and fish attacking the fly but didn’t connect with anything until my last session (I also changed to a black fly -but I think this is unlikely to be the reason) when I landed a GT of 70-80cm. Great fight in the surf and such a great way to end the trip!

Equally importantly we had a fantastic family holiday and will be booking again to go next year so please let me know if any good deals come up.
