Fly fishing for brown trout in Russia is one of the few places where the original, wild brown trout population still lives untampered by man. Here you can experience fantastic brown trout fishing for fish that have seldom seen an artificial fly. While Atlantic salmon draws many anglers to the Varzina River each year there is an exciting wilderness brown trout fishery on the Upper Varzina and Sidorovka Rivers. Both these rivers produce wild brown trout in the 6-10lb range in a unique tented camp where you experience wilderness at is most remote. The tented camp strategically placed next to the best pools, the Varzina River Trout Camp is a must for any devoted trout angler. Large brown trout that descend from the upper lakes average well over 20 inches – any fish landed is likely to be trophy. This is no ordinary trout fishing – this is serious BIG fish territory!

Also in the region we offer remote wilderness trout fishing to both Maxim Lake and the Penka River. These are both exploratory tented camp fisheries for those anglers who wish to explore truly untouched wilderness fisheries.
