The operators of the lodge experienced on their first exploratory trips to the atoll a phenomenal 96 bonefish ranging in size from 6-10 pounds on the first rising tide they fished. Penrhyn Island, an ideal habitat for bonefish

Penrhyn island is located in the Northern Group of the Cook Island’s and is famous for sitting atop the highest submarine volcano in the world, that reaches 4876 meters from the sea floor. The coral atoll that has formed atop of this giant volcano is expansive and has created a lagoon that harbours extensive sand flats providing ideal habitat for bonefish.
