Each year we offer a range of hosted travel to the South Island of New Zealand. These trips have proved extremely popular over the years and enable you to experience three different regions of New Zealand in one affordable trip. The idea is to show how diverse the fishing in New Zealand can be with anglers experiencing a range of river, spring creek and lake fishing focussing all attentions on sighted trout - the real NZ experience. Our hosted trips combine days out with the best experienced local New Zealand guides, including Stu Tripney, Ian Cole, Steve Carey and Pete Carty as well as the chance to get out there and try it for yourself.
This week sees you fishing the world famous Mataura and Oreti rivers along with the associated tributaries and streams of the region. Based in Lumsden a variety of water is never more than a short drive away maximising time on the water. This trip is timed to coincide with the fascinating willow-grubbing trout which test an anglers presentation to the maximum.
This week combines spring creek, big freestone rivers and lake edge fishing in a stunning environment. This trip is timed to coincide with the great cicada fishing on the mighty Ahuriri River. Based in Twizel or Fairlie both lowland and alpine options are on hand ensuring fishing in all conditions.
The rivers surrounding Murchison are too numerous to name but fishing this region ensures you experience a variety of classic New Zealand backcountry situations to large wary brown trout. Based out of Murchison a dozen rivers all within a short drive enable easy access to big brown trout water.

"I would just like to put my thoughts on record and once again say thank you for a tremendous trip. Your organisational capabilities were faultless and I have to say in the face of changing factors your flexibility and easy going competence were essential to our enjoyment of the fishing. Conditons change overnight and a good depth of knowledge, of the area, the rivers and the anglers' capabilites can be sometimes difficult to manage. That we all saw an enormous variety of fishing opportunities and superb fish is a testament to your professional competence and of course the guides Stu Tripney, Steve Carey and Ian Cole. That last day on the Ahuriri was one of the best day's fishing I have ever had in my life. I will return."
