Mexico is widely regarded as having some of the finest saltwater fly fishing on the planet. It is a hugely popular location for our clients with both beginner and experienced anglers alike. Down both coastlines, east and west there is a large number of species which love to eat a well presented fly pattern. On the east the remote bays of the southern Yucatan Peninsula offer the best opportunity for a grand slam in the Caribbean. The permit fishing is exceptional and it is a great place to learn to bonefish. The bays of Ascension, Espiruto Santo and Chetumal will provide a memorable flats experience. The North Yucatan is home to some great baby and migratory tarpon fishing in Holbox and Campeche. On the West coast the fishing turns to bluewater and the Baja Peninsula offers opportunities to target dorado, marlin, roosterfish and various tuna species.
Fly Odyssey is highly experienced with regard to the saltwater fly fishing opportunities available in Mexico. Our local knowledge of Mexico ensures we can offer you a variety of travel options to suit your needs and requirements from exploratory adventure fishing, hosted fly fishing trips, complete guided packages and lodge stays with the best outfitters in the country. Be it a family holiday or a dedicated fly-fishing adventure we have a range of options to suit your needs. You can be sure that your travel arrangements are being organised by people who know the country intimately.

Prime weather season is April to July but fishing is good all year round.
"Hi Mat - excellent trip and very enjoyable. Weather was very good apart from one overcast day as a cold front went through. Good numbers of fish present and in particular I was impressed with the number of permit of all year classes - Robin and I had three each and Mike had two which is something to boast about on his first ever saltwater trip. In total there were 13 permit caught in the six days. Mike had a rather dubious super grand slam! bone fish and permit on fly during the day and at dusk had a snook and tarpon from the jetty on spinning gear.
On slight downside height of water meant a great deal of fishing from the boat and a lot of travelling time.
Accommodation / food was good and we were well looked after.
