The Seychelles: Live-Aboards

The Seychelles is widely known to offer some of the best saltwater fly fishing on the planet. Cosomeldo, Astove, Farqhuar and St Joesph's and Poivre all offer some extreme saltwater fly fishing and are best fished while based on a liveaboard. These remote archipeligos scattered with coral reef and sand cayes are home to a diverse range of fly rod targets. Massive giant trevally and the large shoals of bonefish receive most of the anglers attention in the Seychelles however there are a host of bluewater species and reef dwellers that will give your fly fishing skills a serious test.

Fly Odyssey works with the Indian Ocean Explorer in taking fly fishermen to the Seychelles most remote destinations. The 'Explorer' is a 160 foot newly refurbished commercial yacht dedicated to taking divers and fishermen to remote locations in the Seychelles. The boat contains 13 cabins in 3 separate classes, a huge lounge bar and 2 dining rooms, massage room and business center. The 4 tenders and 2 dedicated fishing guides ferry you from the ship to the flats each day. Cosmoledo will be fished through October and November and then again between February and April.
