For the sea trout fisherman there is one place and one river: The Rio Grande, Tierra Del Fuego. This can be narrowed down further to one lodge: Kau Tapen. Kau Tapen is THE place to fish for sea run brown trout in Argentina. Located with 16 prime kilometers of Rio Grande river the Kau Tapen lodge has consistently produced enviable catches of sea run brown trout since it began in 1984. With fish averaging 12 lb and running to 30 lbs Kau Tapen offers the chance of the fish of a lifetime.

Fly Odyssey run hosted trips to the Rio Grande each February/March. We can arrange bespoke travel or a combination trip with the nearby trout fishing in northern Patagonia or dorado fishing in the North of Argentina.
