The Fögruhlídará is one of Iceland’s most consistent and excellent sea run Char rivers, while the Kalda is a river being improved with a smolt releasing program. While fishing these rivers, clients also have the possibility of taking part in our experimental fishing of the former dramatic glacier river Jökla, now reduced to a moderate flowing clear river due to a new hydro electric dam. The Jokla estuary also has some of the finest sea Char fishing in the country and this is included in the package.

A new first class lodge situated on Kaldá’s banks and a mere five minute drive from one river to the other will provide a comfortable and unique setting for your stay.
