Argentina: Dorado Lodge

Dorado Lodge in Salta provience in north western Argentina offers the most diverse golden dorado fishing on the planet. It has two rivers, the Rio Juramento and Rio Tucanes in close proximity to the lodge which vary drastically in character providing as diverse a fly fishing experience as you can get. The Rio Juramento is a large tailwater that is famed for its large golden dorado with fish averaging 10 lbs and fish to 40 lb caught each season. This tailwater offers unique guided float trips for these spectacular fish. The Rio Tucanes is a clearwater tributary of the Juramento and offers wade fishing and sight casting to dorado in a jungle environment. Dorado lodge has private access to 19 km of the Rio Tucanes.

Fly Odyssey arrange bespoke travel or a combination trip with nearby wingshooting and northern Patagonian trout fishing.
