Desroches Island is home to the newest land based fly fishing operation in the Seychelles. Desroches is part of the Amirantes chain of islands which includes Poivre and St Josephs atolls which are highly renown for their saltwater flats fishing. Previously only accessed by live-aboard operations these remote coral atolls are now accessible from this land based package on Desroches Island.

The fishery is typical of most Seychelles locations with wide variety of species on offer. The flats of Poivre and St Josephs offer up excellent bonefish and Indo-Pacific permit populations. This region has probably the best population of Indo -pacific permit in the Seychelles. The shallow coral reef systems and drop offs provide opportunities for a vast array of species including several species of trevally, jobfish, triggerfish, amberjack, snappers and groupers. Then there is the access to the blue water where dogtooth and yellowfin tuna, dorado, marlin, wahoo and sailfish are abundant.

The recently redeveloped Desroches Island offers high end private villa accommodation with private chef. The standard of accommodation and the unique setting makes this location ideal for family vacations with access to some great Seychelles flats fishing.
