Chilean Patagonia offers some of the most remote and interesting trout fishing on the planet. Large freestone rivers and lakes drain the Andes into the Pacific providing unlimited opportunities. The number of trout holding waterways is difficult to comprehend. Combine this with a rich terrestrial insect population and you have a recipe for big trout. Brown, brook and rainbow trout are found throughout the region and fish into double figures draw anglers back year on year. There are also regular runs of Chinook salmon up many of the Southern Chile's major river systems.
But what sets Chile apart is the warm hospitality, great food and wine and unique accommodations which include private contemporary lodges and traditional Estancia's which provide an insight into the rural Chilean lifestyle. Combining this with visits to famous sights along the Southern Andes, the famed wine growing district in Central Chile or the Atacama desert in the North of the country and you have a holiday that will be long remembered and recounted.
Fly Odyssey work with a number of excellent lodges in Patagonian Chile and we have travelled widely throughout Chile and can add our expertise and recommendations to any planned itinerary.
