There is not another country anywhere in the world in which the sport of fly fishing is more suited for anyone interested in chasing salmonids on a fly. King salmon, silver salmon, sockeye salmon, pink salmon, chum salmon, rainbow trout, dolly varden, steelhead. What more could any die-hard trout or salmon fishermen want? But Alaska has more than just fishing. This big wilderness provides nature lovers a huge range of environments to explore and wildlife to view.
One of the world's most famous Pacific salmon destinations is the The Kenai Peninsula, located just south of Anchorage. The Kenai has been called a microcosm of Alaska; over 16,000 square miles of impossible beauty and bounty. Since the late 1800’s, adventurers have crossed the globe to experience its incredible variety of glacial ice and towering peaks, gentle lowlands, tundra, breathtaking saltwater fjords and abundant wildlife and of course great fishing.
Fly Odyssey work with several lodges in Alaska and can tailor a trip to ensure you get the most out of the experience. Whether this be a trip in search of giant king salmon, a dedicated steelhead journey, or a family holiday to experience both the fishing, the wildlife and the scenery we have lodges suited to meet all these requirements.
