Aaelva River

The Aaelva River or River 'Aa' as it is affectionately know offers 2 km of high class salmon water in stunning surroundings. Located in Western Norway approximately 3 hours drive from Bergen, the River Aa has been designated a National salmon watercourse ensuring protection of its wild stocks of fish. The river produces around 1000 salmon per season to the 8 available rods with fish exceeding 30 lb caught most seasons. The nearby lodge can sleep up to 8 people and has all modern facilities including drying room for waders. The river is a short stroll from the lodge which surrounded by high mountain peaks. A more scenic location you could not wish to find.

Fly Odyssey offers prime weeks in July fishing the Aaelva River. These are hosted by Finnish angler Toni Karuvaara and are suitable for both beginners and experienced anglers.
